FAQ
Questions
Before you send a role
Will they actually overlap our hours?
Kosovo and Albania are usually six hours ahead of US Eastern Time. Both observe daylight saving, so the gap stays near six hours except for a short stretch when the clocks change on different weeks. The default shift is 8:00 AM–4:00 PM ET (14:00–22:00 local time), with at least 4 hours of overlap with your team. Your Order Form sets the exact hours.
Who owns the code and the IP?
They work in your tools and sign your NDA. Under the MSA, work product is assigned to your company once paid for. If anything on this site differs from a signed MSA or Order Form, the signed documents control.
How strong is the English?
Step two is a 20-minute English and soft-skills call, scored, with the camera on. We do not publish a certificate score. English is scored on that call and shown only on the private shortlist.
How do you judge quality?
The same six steps for every seat. Your own intro is the next step, not one of the six. You still interview and choose the developer before anything is signed.
Who are we contracting with?
AlbanianHire is a service of Stackstone LLC, a Florida limited liability company. US contracts with Stackstone LLC. The engagement is month to month, on a monthly rate, with no placement fee. Contact: hello@albanianhire.com.
If the rate looks low, is the talent?
Pricing is quoted per role. Seats are billed monthly, with no placement fee, and the engagement is month to month. The quote depends on the stack, seniority, and hours. Junior, QA, DevOps, and IT support are quoted with the role. Years are a guide. Our coding test and live interview confirm the final level. The lower price comes from the cost of living in Pristina and Tirana. The vetting does not change.
What does the account manager actually do?
One person at Stackstone stays on the engagement. They handle the introduction you asked for, the practical start, a monthly quality check-in, and the replacement. If it's not the right fit in the first 30 days, we'll find a replacement at no extra cost. Tell us in writing within 30 days of the start date. We aim to present replacement candidates within 7 business days; this is a target, not a deadline. You interview and choose the replacement. You don't pay for the gap: fees pause until the replacement starts. If you haven't accepted a replacement within 15 business days, you can end the engagement without notice-period fees, and we refund any prepaid, unused fees. One replacement at no extra cost per engagement. The guarantee doesn't apply if the issue comes from missing access on your side, a change in role or scope not agreed in a new Order Form, or a breach of the agreement. Conditions apply. The signed MSA controls.
Can we hire the developer onto our team?
Hire them directly after 12 months, at no fee. After a developer has worked with you through AlbanianHire for 12 months in a row, you can hire them directly with 14 days' notice, once fees are paid up. Before 12 months, a buyout fee applies. It goes down the longer the engagement runs. Hiring a developer or candidate we introduced without going through us is covered by the MSA's non-solicitation terms. Founding Clients: 6 months instead of 12 (buyout fee before then).
How soon can a developer start?
Most roles can start within a few weeks of the intro call. That is a typical pace, not a promised number of days. There is no free first week. Timing depends on the role, the intro, and when both sides sign.
What is the Founding Client Program?
Founding Client Program: 3 seats at the standard price, with the rate locked for 24 months from your signed Order Form and free direct hire after 6 months (buyout fee before then). In return you agree to a short case study and one reference call. You approve the case study and can keep it anonymous.
Can an agency add overflow capacity?
Overflow capacity under your brand. The developer works under the agency’s name, email, and tools. The agency’s clients never see AlbanianHire. We sign a non-solicit covering the agency’s clients. The price is the same as a standard seat. Land the big Shopify or Next.js project, add a senior for the build, and roll off when it ships.
Can we ask for a developer of a particular background?
We don't accept requests to select or reject developers because of a protected trait.
